This policy describes how we process your personal data when you use the lifo.urbanlama.eu website and when you submit our contact form.

1. Data controller

Under the GDPR Regulation and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 on personal data protection, we are the controller of your personal data.

2. What data we process

2.1 When browsing the website

  • No cookies are set.
  • No analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and similar) are used.
  • Our hosting provider (Netlify) may log your IP address in standard server logs for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are auto-deleted after 30 days.
  • Web fonts (Inter) are hosted directly on our server — no data is transferred to third parties when loading them.

2.2 When submitting the contact form

We collect the following personal data that you voluntarily provide:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Organization (optional)
  • Message content
  • Segment (partner / speaker / municipality / media / other)

4. Retention period

  • Contact form submissions: maximum 24 months after the LIFO 2027 conference (i.e., until February 2029), unless an ongoing contractual or communication relationship exists with you.
  • Upon deletion request: we delete your data without undue delay (max 30 days).

5. Recipients of your data

For website operation, we use the following processors:

  • Netlify, Inc. (USA / EU regions) — website hosting and contact form processing. Netlify complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • Brevo (Sendinblue) (France, EU) — to be added if we start sending a newsletter

We do not sell your data to any third parties. We do not use it for third-party marketing.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right:

  • To access your personal data (request a copy)
  • To rectification of inaccurate data
  • To erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
  • To restriction of processing
  • To data portability
  • To object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • To withdraw consent at any time
  • To lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority (dataprotection.gov.sk)

How to exercise your rights

Email us at our contact address (see section 1). We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

  • The website communicates exclusively via HTTPS (TLS encryption).
  • Form data is stored in a secure Netlify Forms inbox, accessible only to authorized LIFO team members.
  • We regularly review access and log any suspicious activity.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. For material changes, we will notify you via email (if provided) or by updating this page. The current version is always available at lifo.urbanlama.eu/en/privacy.
